If AI Can Pass Your Assignment, the Assignment Is Broken

If a chatbot can earn a passing grade on your final exam, the exam was never measuring what you thought it was. A university provost makes the case that retreating to blue books and pencil exams is not defending academic standards. It is admitting that your assessments were designed for a world that no longer exists.
