The hour you would take back if you could

Here is a question I want you to sit with today.

If you could hand off one task that eats your week, no guilt, no catch, what would it be? The grading stack? The inbox? Building a new course from a blank page?

Now the harder question. If that hour came back to you tomorrow, who would you spend it on?

That second answer is the whole point. The busywork was never the teaching. It just came bundled with the job. And every hour it takes is an hour of presence a student never gets.
